And the days were soon over.

Madrid was our last stop, and Alex and I are headed our separate ways.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you all parents for letting us experience these two months which were truly phenomenal. We had an absolutely fantastic time together, and I am truly grateful that you allowed us to do something like this, as if it weren't for you guys, we really wouldn't be here.

Its 1am, Alex's flight leaves in around 6 hours, he heads back to the UK to visit his family, while I hop on my flight to Dublin, where I will once again return to my motherland.

With that stated, I am off, and this will probably be my last post. Thanks alot for reading, and, until next summer? We debated South America would be a great continuation, or perhaps South East Asia? Haha.

Bon voyage,
Daniel.

Barcelona, hemos llegado!

We arrived at Barcelona after of what seemed like decades of waiting in a city in Italy, next to Pisa, which was completely empty. We waited for 5-6 hours to get on the ferry, which was another 20 hours, but we have arrived. We are staying in an apartment with Charlotte and Aviva, and given that it is four of us, it is coming out to be around 30 euros a night, which is the same as the hostal.

We are moving out on Friday, given that the girls are leaving, and we will check in to Rambla Gothic Quarters then. As for Barcelona, it is beautiful, we went to a Tapas restaurant which was absolutely fantastic (thanks to Aviva), and it is really great to go around with someone who has been here for five weeks (Aviva), given that she knows where to eat, and so forth. We also had the pleasure of eating at 4 Cats (Los Cuatro Gatos), where Picasso had eaten before, it was absolutely fantastic.

Saludos, finalmente podemos hablar nuestra lengua natal :),

daniel.

Oh Florence...

After days in Rome, doing as the Romans, we took a train straight after checking out of our hostal in Rome, and we headed towards Florence. We will be here until Monday, July 27, 2009, where we head towards Livorno, to take our 20-hour ferry towards Barcelona. A truly long ride, which we will endure as flights were coming out a little too expensive, and the ferry provides a room, which will give us a good time to rest, before our last country.

Amazingly, we have travelled to the following countries:
1. Ireland
2. United Kingdom
3. France
4. Belgium
5. Netherlands
6. Germany
7. Czech Republic
8. Greece
9. Italy
10. Vatican City
11. ...

Our eleventh country will be Spain, a truly remarkable journey, we can only hope it continues to go as well as it has been so far. I leave you now, for the beauties of Florence.

Rome-ing the city.

Hahaha, yes Pompei was absolutely spectacular, I will get to posting pictures but the Internet Cafe's we have been at aren't the greatest.

Anyways, yes, I was, like any common Panamanian, up until 5am, using the Hostel's computer and working some of my technological magic, watching the entire soccer game. Very very painful defeat at extra time, with that penalty. I must say I was devastated with that loss, but moving to Rome has been fabulous.

Here, we have been to the Collesseum, the Pantheon, various Piazza's, and in our plans are the Vatican tommorow, and the Capuchini Bone Chapel.

Rome is much better, We are truly enjoying this.

Change of Plans...

We are changing our plans, and instead of staying in Naples, we are moving to Rome tommorow night. We visited the Plaza's today, because we arrived a day early because of the ferry bookings, and therefore are staying in Napoli, today July 18th.

Anyways, tommorow we will go to Pompei, and Mount Vesuvius, and then we take a train at night to a hotel in Rome which we have already reserved.

The motive for this is, spoken simply, if you have been to Calidonia in Panama, this place is worse. We are constantly warned by the hostel of being robbed and the likes, so we are essentially just going to Rome, where there is alot more to see, and it seems like a much better place.

Cheers from Naples, a not so happy place haha,

Daniel

Sadly, we're down to two.

Sadly, Daniel Correa has had to leave us, so now it is Alex and I.

We are in Poros, in the house of our friend from school, Maria. She has been kind enough to house us for the next few days, and we have certainly enjoyed of her yacht, which includes water skiing and waveboarding. We are certainly having a blast over here with her family, and we are very thankful that she has taken us in.

And Monica, thank you for writing, I always look forward to a comment or two from the parents, its always nice to hear from you guys. I last talked to William when he was in front of the Santiago Bernabeu, the stadium for the greatest soccer team in the world, Real Madrid, so I am certain that he is honored to be in the presence of pure beauty. (haha). But yes I am glad he is alright,

Philippe also arrived fine to Panama, and we will be travelling on the 17th of July to Patra, where we take the ship to Bari.

Cheers from the beautiful sunsets of Greece,
Daniel C.

Mykonos

We're in Mykonos, and have been to some absolutely fantastic beaches!

We will probably head to Santorini on the 14th for one night, and then to Athens.

Cheers,
Daniel

The Greek Islands

This is what we are doing in the Greek islands:

Tomorrow, Friday July 10th, we will leave in a ferry to Mykonos, and we will settle there. We thought about making Crete our base since we found a cheap hotel but the ferries would cost us too much to go around the islands.

Therefore, we will stay in Mykonos until July 14th, and then after that, we will take a ferry to Santorini. In Santorini we will stay one night, and then July 15th we will head to Athens. We leave Athens on a Ferry to Italy on July 17th, a day early from what our original plan was, due to the lack of availability in the ferry on July 18th.

That's all,

Greece is absolutely fantastic!

And then there were three.

I have already talked to both William and Philippe. Last time I talked to William he was in the train station, and Philippe is already in the Amsterdam Airport. Philippe arrives to Panama at 4-5pm. He leaves Schipol Airport (Amsterdam) at 1:25pm, his flight number is KL0757.

We arrived at Crete, and it seems to be a promising city, the prices seem to be rather cheap, and we are back to using Euros. (Prague used Krones or smtn)

Alex and Correa are taking a small nap and I will probably head over to do the same, but we are doing fine, we have found a good place to stay, here are the details:

It is called Castello City Hotel, we get a 3 bedroom room, and a bathroom, for 80 euros a night (approximately 27.30 Euros each), which was around the same if not cheaper than a hostal cost, and its a good place to rest.
http://www.castellohotels.com/

We are still unsure of how we will travel around the islands, but that we will figure out as we venture into Crete.

Until later,
qk

Berlin.

Our hostal is absolutely fabulous, and we are all well in Berlin. I love it.

We have our own bathroom, and this city, you will be glad to hear, is incredibly cheap.

We went to the Holocaust Memorial and to the Museum of National History, it was incredibly interesting.

Cheers.

Destination: Berlin.

Now we are headed to Berlin at 11:30pm, taking a night bus so that we arrive there in the morning, so that we can enjoy the day over there. Amsterdam has been very fun, and so has The Hague, we went to a party of the French School in the Hague, and actually ran into people that housed us during THIMUN. Seeing some of our hosts was a very shocking moment for them, I must say, but it was very cool.

So off to Berlin, we all have our stuff, and are ready to go.

cheers,
qk

Didn't think we'd make it this far :P?

Haha, yes its true, we are in Amsterdam safe and sound, with everything on us (Except those big bags, we left them somewhere). Haha, just kidding. Everything is perfect, the hostal is really nice, and we're having lots of fun. We actually stepped on Belgian ground, and had a nice breakfast at this Belgian restaurant right outside the train system, cheers.

We're off to see the Amsterdam....

Paris was an absolute spectacle, I loved it! I am really happy we came to this spectacular city. In about 3 hours, we should be in Paris du Nord, the train station to take our train to Amsterdam, with a small stop iin Brussels, we should arrive around 2pm, Amsterdam time.

So far, beyond some mild colds, we are all perfectly fine and excited about what is to come.

Sorry I haven't posted pictures, I haven't had the time, I will do my best in the future,

Fabulous London

With places like the War Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Big Ben, British National Museum, London Eye, and multiple other excursions, I have to say, London was absolutely fabulous. Following a great night with Avenue Q, we wanted to finish our last night with Transformers, which we will see tonight in the IMAX Theater!

We leave tommorow for France, in the train.

Everything is good,

And now we are headed for London.

We got to see the ports, seaside, and use the train in Dublin today, some went to Northern Ireland, while others to southern ireland, we split. It was alot of fun on both sides, we both got to see the sea side, and enjoyed our voyages. We are headed to London in approximately 10 hours, we will leave the beautiful city of Ireland on a flight headed towards London. (in a few hours we will visit Trinity College, because we went today for a bit and it was absolutely spectacular).

We are all healthy and fine, no one has lost anything, and the hostel was absolutely fabulous.

I will message you once we arrive in our next destination lads!

cheers.

Our Room Pictures and More

Philippe just arrived, so thank god its six of us now, and we are all safe and sound. Above are some pictures of the room, enjoy!

And yet again,

Nothing has been lost so far, and we are all in one piece. Philippe has arrived in Amsterdam, and last time we talked to him, he was waiting at the gate, ready to board his flight towards Dublin, Ireland.

We have walked around Ireland, it is very friendly and there are a variety of shops. As for cellphone plans, Ireland does not have European plans and we have been recommended to wait until London to purchase our cellphone plans, given that they offer plans for the whole of Europe, rather than only Ireland. Our hostel has a fabulous location, and we are really happy about this choice.

Everything is going fabulous so far,

Cheers.

:)

Cheers. qk

This is it!

This will be the last post in Panama City, Panama.

I will post again once we arrive at Newark, or perhaps at Dublin.

The Map of Where We Are Going

Parents, here is the map of where we will be going all throughout Europe. The key is in the bottom right corner. That way you will know all the methods of transport. You will shortly be getting an itinerary booklet, with all the flights and methods of transportation which have been pre-booked.

All the best,

Europe 2009

Welcome to our Eurotrip 2009. This is my first post of many, as for right now, I am still in Panama, this website will contain all the necessary information for you to know where we are at a random time, and what we are doing. I will try to update it once or twice a week, so that our location is generally known, and so that you know that everything is fine with us. This is in addition to the phone calls and emails that will probably be sent.
